Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) was established in 1940 with the mission to promote the study, conservation and protection of Malaysia’s Nature heritage. Winner of the inaugural 2008 Merdeka Award (Environment Category), MNS is the oldest and largest membership based non-governmental environmental organization in Malaysia. It run by elected members on a voluntary, non-profit basis. We have more than 4,000 members and 11 branches across the country. MNS’s headquarters is based in Kuala Lumpur, supported by a 30 strong team of full-time staff, wholly dedicated towards conservation and preservation of green Malaysia.
MNS has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, in recognition of our continued efforts in protection and conservation of Malaysia’s natural heritage. In the recent years, we have been the proud recipient of the following prestigious awards including UNEP 500 Global Award in 1992, 2008 Merdeka Award (Environment Category), EU Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry EUROPA Awards 2012, 2018 BrandLaureate CSR BrandLeadership Award, 2019 Global Good Governance Award (Social Sector & Philanthropy)
