In 1985, The Malaysian Nature Society took a major step forward in conservation and nature education. An expedition was launched to study plants and animals, soil and water of Endau-Rompin. To Endau-Rompin came over one thousand visitors - scientists and technicians, school pupils and university students, youth groups and volunteers. Over 12 months they took part in enormously varied activities, from building camp to surveying butterflies, from measuring prawns to studying a magnificient new species of fan palm. Here is the story.
